What stops working on Oct 31?
Per Smithery's notice (smithery.ai/future), server URLs on run.tools and server.smithery.ai, the Smithery API, Connect, Toolbox, accounts, API keys, CLI and SDKs.
Is Smithery shutting down?
No. Smithery says it will remain a public (non-proxied) MCP registry, with a curated set of verified servers showing direct MCP URLs.
What if my server isn't found?
We only show a URL that answers our live MCP check right now. If it isn't found or doesn't answer, the owner can re-list it free in about 2 minutes.
Do you host or proxy servers?
No. We list direct URLs and check them. A server with no public endpoint of its own can't be fixed by us.
